Day 8 Report - Latest LEJOG News!
With our safe arrival at Gaydon, Sunday became the day of exposing our cars to the scrutiny of the National Rally judges!! After a gruelling 2000 miles could the LEJOGers even hope to be in with a chance of winning any Golden Medals???
Well the answer is yes and always ensure you take an Innocenti on LEJOG with you!! Jose Ambel's gorgeous Innocenti won a plethora of awards including the Members and Presidents Choice. Well done Jose. The awards didn't stop there though with Julie and Sarah winning the Colouring competition.....well done girls!!
Alexander Boucke won the furthest travelled from Europe with an impressive 5600KMs!!! Donald Stewart won the furthest travelled in the UK with 762 Miles from Northern Ireland (Don joined us in Whitby so he's included as part time LEJOGer!!).
Dean Oakey won the best period interior with his Morris 1300 and Oliver Renaudin won a marrow in the raffle; all we can say to Oliver is Bon Appetite!
Congratulations to all concerned and the LEJOGers definitely injected the party atmosphere into the National Rally!
